Observatory on Responsible Gaming

The research, conducted by Ipsos for the FAIR Foundation, systematically explores how operators and institutions interpret the topic of responsible gaming and the factors that influence their perception of the protection, transparency, and effectiveness of the tools currently available. The study observes the sector from multiple perspectives, exploring not only the level of awareness and use of player protection measures, but also their perceived value, the factors that facilitate or hinder responsible behavior, and the role of communication in fostering a more responsible gaming culture.

Through a complex methodological approach combining quantitative research and qualitative insights with key industry figures, the research analyzes how different stakeholders define the concept of responsibility in gaming, the needs emerging in the relationship between operators and the public, and the critical issues currently requiring shared responses. Particular attention is paid to the effectiveness of current prevention efforts, the ability of informational messages to reach their intended audience, and the perceived reliability of initiatives promoted by industry players.

The result is an interpretative framework that highlights the need to strengthen dialogue between system components, improve the quality and clarity of communication, and make protection tools more accessible. The research represents a useful contribution to informing evidence-based policies, projects, and industry strategies, with the goal of promoting a more informed, sustainable, and protective gaming environment.
